Błękitni Stargard Szczeciński

K.S. Błękitni Stargard Szczeciński is a Polish association football team from Stargard Szczeciński. The men's team is currently playing in the third division, whereas the women's team is in the top division. It was formerly a multi-sports club.
==History==
On 18 June 1945 by the initiative of athlete Tadeusz Świniarski, a European Championship participant in Oslo in 1946 the first "Błękitni" sports club in Western Pomerania. The first squad in 1945 consisted of the following players: M. Myszkowski, M. Polkowski, E. Miller, W. Mikulski, W. Mitręga, W. Luzarowicz, S. Cieślak, K. Osłowski, T. Jankowski, J. Cholewa, L. Sobczak, W. Ratajczak, B. Wiśniewski, and Z. Krynicki. The football, boxing and athletics sections were all officially launched in 1945. Two years later (1947) a volleyball section was added, followed by table tennis the year after that (1948), and in turn swimming the year after that (1949). In 1957 the table tennis squad reached the second division, a feat they repeated between 1990 and 2000.
The football team played in the second division in the 1981/82 season, finished 15th in that season, which the highest league position to date. In 2002/03 the club once again returned to the division, but in a quick succession of relegations the club started their 2005/2006 season in the fourth tier. In 2013/14 season the club once again won promotion to the third division.
The club had an unprecedented cup run in the 2014/15 season, reaching the semi-finals of the Polish Cup, knocking out numerous higher league opponents such as GKS Tychy and Chojniczanka Chojnice, two surprise 2-0 wins home and away against Ekstraklasa side Cracovia in the quarter-finals, followed by a 3-1 win at home against Lech Poznań in the semi-final. They were eventually knocked out by Lech in the return leg, after losing 1-3 in regular time before Lech added another two in extra time to win the tie 6-4 on aggregate.
